Load Capacity
Load capacity is the core index, which is related to whether it can meet the handling demand. Each steering transfer cart has a rated load, which is determined by the vehicle structure, power system, tires, and other aspects.
For example, the frame is made of high-strength steel, such as Q345B, which can withstand greater pressure and ensure no deformation under heavy load.
High-power motor with high-quality reducer, which can provide strong power to drive heavy loads.
Large-sized tires with high load-carrying capacity, such as solid rubber tires with a diameter of 400mm or more, can share the weight and ensure driving stability.
It should be noted that the actual selection should take into account the maximum weight and volume of the goods to be handled on a daily basis, and reserve a margin of 10-20%. Assuming that the daily handling of goods is mostly about 30 tons, and occasionally 35 tons of goods, it is safer to choose trackless transfer cart with a load capacity of 40 tons, so as to prevent accelerated wear and tear of parts due to overloading, and even cause safety accidents.

Power System
- Battery Type: Mainstream batteries are lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries.
Lead-acid batteries are affordable, mature technology, but low energy density, short range, charging time is long, suitable for low frequency of use, range requirements are not high scenarios.
Lithium batteries have high energy density, long range, fast charging, but high cost, suitable for the pursuit of efficient operation, frequent use of the enterprise.
- Motor Power: Motor power determines the power output and running speed of trackless transfer cart.
Large loads of steering transfer cart generally need high-power motors, such as more than 30 tons of heavy duty transfer trolley, often equipped with 10kW and above power motor, to ensure that the power is sufficient to start and drive, can be fully loaded under normal climbing, acceleration, to adapt to different working conditions.

Turning Radius
In the narrow space operation, the turning radius affects the flexibility of heavy duty transfer trolley.
The steering mechanism is the key factor. Differential steering is realized by adjusting the speed difference between the two driving wheels, which is simple in structure but has a large turning radius.
Rudder wheel steering allows each wheel to independently control the direction and speed of rotation, which can realize omnidirectional movement and a small turning radius.
Wheel configuration also has an impact; large-diameter wheels are stable but have a large turning radius, while small-diameter wheels are flexible and have a relatively small turning radius.
Vehicle wheelbase is equally important; the longer the wheelbase, the larger the turning radius. The shorter the wheelbase, the smaller the turning radius. In addition, the load capacity is too large, which will increase the inertia and weight of steering transfer cart, making it difficult to steer and increasing the turning radius.
