This client is a well-known Thai steel coil processing company specializing in the full range of steel coil operations, including rolling, shearing, and warehousing. The company frequently needs to transport steel coils weighing 20 tons each. As production capacity has increased, the existing transportation methods can no longer support efficient production. There is an urgent need for specialized handling equipment that is suited to the workshop environment, offers stable load-bearing capacity, and is easy to operate, in order to ensure the safe and continuous transport of steel coils.
Challenges Faced:
Inefficient Crane-Dependent Operations
Relying on cranes for material handling involves a cumbersome and time-consuming process. Since cranes must handle multiple operations simultaneously, this results in long wait times for coil handling, making it impossible to maintain continuous production.
Safety Risks During Coil Lifting and Movement
Steel coils are heavy and have a high center of gravity, making them prone to swaying and slipping during crane lifting and movement. This can damage equipment and the coils themselves, posing a safety hazard to operators; there have been several instances of minor slippage incidents.
Limited Space Restricting Forklift Operation
The workshop layout is compact with narrow aisles, and traditional forklifts are bulky, have a large turning radius, and lack sufficient load-carrying capacity to safely transport 20-ton steel coils.

Customized Transfer Cart with 20-ton capacity
Rail transport car is constructed from high-strength steel and has undergone rigorous load testing to ensure stable load-bearing capacity. It is designed for high-frequency transfers and features positioning accuracy of ±10 mm, enabling seamless integration with upstream and downstream processes.
Coil-Specific V-Shaped Support Design
Designed to conform to the curved shape of steel coils, it securely holds them in place to prevent shifting or slipping during transport. It can be flexibly adjusted to accommodate steel coils of various sizes, enhancing safety and reducing the risk of damage.
Selected Power Supply System Based on Workshop Conditions
The cable reel power supply system, with its proven technology and low-maintenance design, is ideal for frequent, short-distance material handling within the workshop. It includes a reserved interface for future battery upgrades to accommodate increased production capacity.
Flexible Control System (remote/manual)
Battery-powered rail transfer carts supports both remote and manual operation modes. Remote operation ensures operator safety, while manual mode is designed to handle complex working conditions. The system is easy to operate and requires no specialized training, thereby reducing labor costs.
